Route S7
Race Format
60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes) using a simplified map (1:10,000 scale). Remember to bring a watch and a pen! Start times are between 5:45pm and 7:30pm, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. Don’t forget to bring a head torch as some of the streets and paths are not very well lit and please wear bright clothing.
Terrain
Largely tarmac roads and paths, mostly around quiet residential areas, but there are some controls in the town centre amongst the shops and industrial buildings. You will be looking for controls such as ‘number on lamp post?’ or ‘post box collection times?’. Please note that the main roads in the centre of town can be busy.
The traffic can be busy in places so you must take care crossing all roads.
Social
If you can, please stay after you have run to discuss routes, mistakes, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The pub does serves food, there is lots to choose from including formal menu, bar snacks and a pizza oven. Food service continues until 10:00pm, Menu. Or you are also more than welcome to get some nibbles like nuts etc. and obviously a post-run pint!
