OSS Event April 2013 (Headington)

16th April 2013 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

£1

Just as last year, the final race of the season will take place around the streets of Headington. It will be followed by a short prizegiving ceremony at which the series trophies are awarded to the top man and woman and other prizes to the top three.

Event Centre

The event centre is the Britannia Inn on London Road.

We would encourage you to arrive on foot, by bicycle or by public transport if possible – there are many bus routes between the city centre and Headington which pass the pub door. There is a car park if you are coming from further afield, though.

Race Format

60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description.

Terrain

Tarmac roads and paths. Most roads have a 20mph limit and low traffic levels. London Road is busy but there are plenty of sensible crossing points – please take care.

Social

If you can, please stay after you have run to discuss routes, mistakes, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The Britannia serves food until 10pm and is open until 11pm. There will also be a prizegiving for the series as soon as everyone has finished and the results have been worked out.
