OSS Feb 2019(Abingdon)

The February round of the Oxford Street-O series sees us return to Abingdon. John Owens is organising and planning the event amongst the tricky housing estates.

Event centre
The event will be based at the Boundary House pub in Oxford Road, Abingdon.

There is parking at the rear of the pub, and the X3 and X13 bus routes from Oxford stop just outside the pub at the traffic lights.

Race Format

60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch and a pen! There are definitely some unlit paths so a head torch is necessary to route along these. Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. You must not run inside the pub.

Terrain

Largely quiet tarmac roads and paths. North-east Abingdon is full of complex housing estates, reminiscent of the urban events you may have run in either Abingdon or Didcot.

Social

As usual, please stay after you have run to discuss routes, mistakes, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The Boundary House serves food until 9pm.
