OSS Event September 2011 (Headington)

21st September 2011 @ 6:30 pm - 22nd September 2011 @ 12:00 am

The first event of the new season will take place around the streets of Headington.

Event Centre

The event centre is the Britannia Inn on London Road. Unless the weather is particularly bad, registration, start and finish will be on one of the outside tables.

We would encourage you to arrive on foot, by bicycle or by public transport if possible – there are many bus routes between the city centre and Headington which pass the pub door. There is a car park if you are coming from further afield, though.

Race Format

60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description.

Tarmac roads and paths. Most roads have a 20mph limit and low traffic levels. London Road which bisects the map is busy but there are plenty of sensible crossing points – please take care. A few roads and alleyways are unlit, which will be highlighted on the map – although it will not be essential to run along these to visit controls they may offer useful route choices.

If you can, please stay after you have run to discuss routes, mistakes, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The Britannia serves food until 10pm and is open until 11pm.

Results will be published soon after the event
