OSS Apr 2019(Oxford)

The April Oxford Street-O series event sees us return to Oxford. Neville Baker is planning and organising.

Event centre
The event will be based at The Tree Hotel, 63 Church Way, Iffley Village, OX4 4EY.

For those driving, there is parking at the rear of the pub, otherwise usually ample space on the surrounding roads. Buses serve the Iffley area from central Oxford.

Race Format
60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch and a pen! There are unlit paths off the main streets, so a head torch is also necessary. Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. You must not run inside the pub.

Terrain
Largely tarmac roads and paths. The area is reasonably flat apart from Rose Hill as the name suggests. Generally slow traffic, though Iffley Road, Henley Avenue and Rose Hill may be busy.

Social
Stay after your run to have a drink/some food and to discuss routes, mistakes, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The Tree Hotel serves food but there is no indication as to what time they finish taking orders.
