OSS Event December 2013 (Headington)

The last street-o of 2013 will be around the streets of Headington and has been planned by John Owens. Look out for the seasonal bonus (see Race Format below)!

Event Centre

The event centre is the Britannia Inn on London Road.

We would encourage you to arrive on foot, by bicycle or by public transport if possible – there are many bus routes between the city centre and Headington which pass the pub door. There is a car park if you are coming from further afield, though.

Race Format

60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description.

Christmas is coming, so for this event only there will be bonus points on offer for running in festive fancy dress, ranging from 10 points for festive headgear to 50 points for a full Santa suit… all at John’s discretion, so dress to impress!

Terrain

Tarmac roads and paths. Most roads have a 20mph limit and low traffic levels. London Road is busy but there are plenty of sensible crossing points – please take care.

Social

If you can, please stay after you have run to discuss routes, mistakes, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The Britannia serves food until 10pm and is open until 11pm.
