SUMMARY:OSS September 2016 (Abingdon)
DESCRIPTION:The first Street-O of the new season will planned by Matt Hill. We are escaping central Oxford for this first event to round around the streets of Abingdon. \nEvent centre \nThe event will be based at the Boundary House pub in Oxford Road\, Abingdon.\n69\, Oxford Road\, Abingdon OX14 2AA \nThere is parking at the rear of the pub\, and the X3 and X13 bus routes from Oxford stop just outside the pub at the traffic lights.\nBus Routes \nRace Format \n60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch and a pen! Also a head torch could also be useful as there may be a few unlit roads and paths. Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm\, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. You must not run inside the pub.\nIf you are early it may be possible to finish before it becomes dark. \nTerrain \nLargely quiet tarmac roads and paths. North-east Abingdon is full of complex housing estates\, reminiscent of the urban events you may have run in Didcot. \nSocial \nAs usual\, please stay after you have run to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The Boundary House serves food until 9pm. \n
