SUMMARY:OSS October 2016 (Rose Hill & Iffley)
DESCRIPTION:The second race of this season will take place around Iffley\, Rose Hill and Cowley on Wednesday 19th October and has been planned by Marcin Krzysztofik. \nEvent centre \nThe event centre will be based at the Prince of Wales pub in Iffley (73 Church Way\, OX4 4EF). There is some parking available at the pub but not many spaces. If possible please come on foot\, by bicycle or by public transport. \nRace Format \n60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch and a pen! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm\, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. Don’t forget your head torch as some paths may be unlit. \nTerrain \nLargely tarmac roads and paths. The traffic can be busy in places so you must take care crossing all roads. The A4142 (Eastern By-Pass Road) is very dangerous and must ONLY be crossed at the marked points on the map.\nIffley Road/Henley Avenue will have significant traffic; great care should also be taken when crossing them. \nSocial \nIf you can\, please stay after you have run to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The pub will most likely serve food (I had a great burger there the last time)\, while you are also more than welcome to get some nibbles like nuts etc. and obviously a post-run pint! \nThe Prince of Wales may serve food until 11pm. \n
