DESCRIPTION:\nNew Date for Thame Event\n \nAfter the postponement of the Jan 22 event due to the snow\, we are pleased to rearrange this for the first Tuesday in February. Hopefully there will be less snow\, but I can’t guarantee it will be any warmer. \nThe first Street-O of 2019 is still in Thame to the East of Oxford. This is the same area as the TVOC urban event in September 2018 and last January’s Street-O event. It has been planned by Jon Harvey. \nEvent centre\nThe event centre is the The James Figg\, 21 Cornmarket\, Thame\, Oxon\, OX9 2BL Tel 01844 260166 (same as last year) \nParking: Some parking is available in the High Street and Cornmarket near the pub in the centre of Thame (OX9 0BE)\, it is free after 6pm. There are 124 spaces in the Cattlemarket Car Park (OX9 3FD)\, parking is free outside of 9am to 5pm. An alternative is Southern Road OX9 2EE (65 spaces)\, free after 5pm. \nThere is a bus from Oxford to Thame (The Sapphire 280 from Park End Street but takes 55 minutes) – please check with Arriva bus company for details and times. Please note Haddenham & Thame Parkway Station on the Chiltern railway line is three miles away. \nRace Format\n60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch and a pen! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm\, starting whenever you’re ready. Entry costs £2. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. A head torch will be useful. \nTerrain\nMostly tarmac roads and paths (dependant on route choice). Chinnor Road and the High Street can be busy so please take care. \nSocial\nIf you can\, please stay after you have run to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The James Figg bar will be open and food will be available afterwards up to 8pm. \n
