DESCRIPTION:February’s race will be around the streets of Kidlington\, planned by Carol Edwards. Another tricky area with a modern housing estate of roads and footpaths giving plenty of route choice. \nEvent centre \nThe event will be Based at The Black Horse\, Kidlington on the A4260. \nCar Parking \nThere is a small amount of parking in front of the pub. Also there is a public car park behind it. Coming from the south\, turn right at the traffic lights\, into Sterling Road Approach\, and follow the signs to the public car park. You can park in the long stay area for 3 hours. The car park has camera monitoring of number plates\, and if you stay longer than 3 hours you are charged £70! \nBuses from Oxford \nKidlington is served by the city2 buses from Oxford\, 2\, 2A & 2B. Details of routes\, timetable and fares are on the Oxford bus web site. Oxford city2 Buses\nKidlington is also served by the Park & Ride 500 bus ParkAndRide\nAlso the stage coach 7 bus to Woodstock Number 7 Bus \nCycling \nCycling from Oxford should not be a problem. \nRoadworks \nThe roadworks from last year around the North of Oxford seem to have abated somewhat. There should no longer be any severe delays. \nRace Format \nOne hour score event: visit as many controls as possible within one hour. Bring a watch and a torch\, and a pen/pencil to record your visits. A clear plastic bag to hold the map and clue sheet can be provided if it’s raining. Start and Finish are at the Black Horse. Starts are from 6.30pm to 8pm. You must not run inside the pub. See About Street-O a more detailed description. \nTerrain \nLargely tarmac roads and paths\, but please cross carefully\, especially the A4260\, which bisects the area. Please make use of pedestrian crossings where available. \nSocial \nAs usual\, please stay after you have run to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy.
