DESCRIPTION:Event Centre \nThe event centre is Flat 6 Woodstock Court\, in a small block of flats towards the west end of Osberton Road. It is on the second floor\, you’ll need to ring to get in at the left of the two entrance doors. You must walk down the stairs when you start\, and we’ll record your finish time as being when you ring to be let in on your return. \nWe would encourage you to arrive on foot\, by bicycle or by public transport if possible. There are many bus routes between the city centre (Magdalen Street) and Summertown\, of which the most frequent are the 2 along Banbury Road and the 6 along Woodstock Road (the 6 stops much closer if you have the choice). If you must drive\, note that Osberton Road and many of the surrounding streets are permit holders only in the evening (Bishop Kirk Place\, the next road north\, has less stringent hours so try there first); visitor permits can be provided at registration if needed. \nRace Format \n60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm\, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. \nTerrain \nTarmac roads and paths\, no significant hills. Most roads have a 20mph limit and low traffic levels. Two main roads (Banbury Road and Woodstock Road) run north-south through Summertown and can be busy\, please cross these carefully and consider using one of the many pedestrian crossings. The map also extends north of the bypass (A40)\, this must only be crossed at the four crossing points marked (a bridge\, an underpass and two pelican crossings). \nSocial \nIf you can\, please stay after you have run to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. Hot food will be provided in return for a small contribution to costs. \n
