SUMMARY:OSS Event November 2013 (East Oxford)
DESCRIPTION:Event Centre \nThe event centre will be Oxford University’s Iffley Road sports centre\, the same as for the final event of last season. Parking is available\, but note that it is accessed from Jackdaw Lane and not Iffley Road. Pedestrians and cyclists can access the site from either Jackdaw Lane or Iffley Road. We will be based in the cafe area. \nRace Format \n60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch and a pen! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm\, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. \nTerrain \nLargely tarmac roads and paths with hills towards the south and east of the map. Please take particular care crossing Cowley\, Iffley and Donnington Bridge Roads which can be busy and have a 30mph limit in places. Other roads have a 20mph limit and low traffic levels. Some of the paths in the southern part of the map are not lit very will so a head torch may be useful. \nSocial \nIf you can\, please stay after you have run to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy. The cafe should be open until at least 9pm for food\, but you will need to order BEFORE you run. \n
