DESCRIPTION:The last Street-O of 2016 will be around the streets of Headington and has been planned by Sarah Gales. Look out for the seasonal bonus (To be confirmed)(see Race Format below)! \nEvent centre \nThe event centre is the Britannia Inn on London Road\, Oxford\, OX3 7AA. \nWe would encourage you to arrive on foot\, by bicycle or by public transport if possible – there are many bus routes between the city centre and Headington which pass the pub door. There is a car park if you are coming from further afield\, though. Usually\, the car park has a ticket machine (£2 possibly) refundable when purchasing from the bar. \nRace Format \n60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm\, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. \nChristmas is coming\, so for this event only there will be bonus points on offer for running in festive fancy dress\, ranging from 0 points for no effort. Through to 50 points for a full Santa suit… all at Sarah’s discretion\, so dress to impress! \nTerrain \nTarmac roads and paths. Most roads have a 20mph limit and low traffic levels. London Road is busy but there are plenty of sensible crossing points – please take care. \nFootpaths:\nThe footpath in the SW corner of the map is overgrown and hence marked as a forbidden route (line of purple crosses). There is another short footpath closed due to roadworks which is marked with a single purple cross. \nRoadworks:\nAlmost everywhere in Headington – no roads are closed to pedestrians\, but please exercise caution. \nSocial \nIf you can\, please stay after you have run to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy.
