DESCRIPTION:The last Oxford Street-O event of 2018 will be held around Botley. The event has been arranged by Robin\, assisted by Laura Leach. We are at a different location for this event\, so the route choices will change from the last couple of visits to Botley. Also there is not the 100m hill climb up the Garth to finish with. \nEvent centre\nThe event centre is the Seacourt Bridge Inn\, 78 West Way\, Oxford OX2 9JU. Note the Postcode on the pub website is wrong and will lead you to the other side of the A34 ! They have a small car park. The 4A bus from Rose Hill and Iffley via the city centre stops in Finmore Road and the U1 from Headington and the city centre stops just after turning into Westminster Way. Many more buses from the city centre stop at Elms Parade on West Way (S1\, X30\, 4\, 4B\, 4C and probably others) at least every 10 minutes during the day; slightly less frequently later in the evening. You can find bus timetables for Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach online to check times that suit you. \nRace Format\n60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch ! Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm\, starting whenever you’re ready. See About Street-O a more detailed description. Once again we are employing Touch-O so no need to answer questions\, just touch the description name and continue. Also you will need to remember where you have been or\nmark it on the map. \nTerrain\nResidential tarmac roads and paths\, but also paths across unlit fields. There are definitely hills but contours are marked\, 10m. The traffic can be busy in places so you must take care crossing all roads. All controls are located South of the A420\, so there is no need to cross this dual carriageway. The A34 is out of bounds and should only be crossed using the subways marked on the map as three crossing points. \nSocial & Food\nFood: Please stay for a drink and/or food after your run to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy.
