DESCRIPTION:The Final Oxford Street-O series event of the 2018-2019 season sees us return to Didcot. Roger Thetford is planning and organising. \nEvent centre\nThe event will be based at The LadyGrove\, Cow Lane\, Didcot\, OX11 7SZ. \nFor those driving\, there is parking at the rear of the pub\, otherwise usually ample space on the surrounding roads. Cow Lane is one-way southbound through the tunnel underneath the railway\, so if you’re driving you’ll need to approach from the north or east on the A4130 ring-road. The pub is about 600m from Didcot station so is easily walkable. A number of buses serve Didcot from central Oxford\, eg X2\, X32.\nBus routes:\n The X2 Bus Route \nRace Format\n60 minute score (visit as many controls as you can and return within 60 minutes). Remember to bring a watch and a pen! There are unlit paths off the main streets\, so a head torch is a must if starting late. Start times are between 6.30pm and 8pm\, starting whenever you’re ready.  Sunset is 20:18 and Civil Twilight ends at 20:54\, by when it will be pretty gloomy. See About Street-O for a more detailed description. You must not run inside the pub. \nTerrain\nLargely tarmac roads and paths. The area is reasonably flat apart from Ladygrove Hill\, which is a small mound behind The Ladygrove. The housing estate is famously intricate including many small interconnecting paths which will allow various route choices. \nSocial\nStay after your run to have a drink/some food and to discuss routes\, mistakes\, the weather or anything else that takes your fancy.\nFood is available from the menu. There is also the offer of £5 for any pizza as it is Tuesday. No indication as to what time they finish taking orders but probably at least 9:00pm.\nAlso as it is the final event of the season there will be a round up and prizes. \n
